Most of what happens at Bellevue Christian Church is led by ordinary people like you serving in extraordinary ways. Our Serve Teams make a difference in the lives of every person who comes through our doors—from the front lobby to the sound booth. We encourage you to join a team, make new friends, and love others through serving!
Core Sunday Teams
-
We know that people are often more likely to leave our service with a song stuck in their heads than the main point of the sermon! That’s why the worship team is responsible for leading ordinary people to Jesus through gospel-saturated music and other elements of the worship service. If you have music in your blood, this is the team for you.
-
We’ve all been places where the production quality felt like it hadn’t changed since the early 90s, and we don’t want that to happen at our church. That’s why the production team is responsible for all the work of running video, sound, projection, and photography so that people can fully experience high-quality worship services in person or at home. If you live to make things better from behind-the-scenes, this is the team for you.
-
Attending a new church for the first-time can be intimidating! That’s why the host team is responsible for making new people feel at home in our church by saying hello, answering any questions they might have, and helping them discover next steps. If you love to make people feel welcome, this is the team for you.
-
Jesus loves kids, and so do we! That’s why the kids ministry team makes it easy for ordinary kids to meet Jesus and learn to live everyday life like Jesus—especially, on Sunday mornings. If you want to make a lifelong impact on the lives of kids in our community, this is the team for you. We will help you complete a required background check.
-
We want people to worship without worry. That’s why our safety and security team is responsible for creating a safe and secure physical space on Sunday mornings. If you’re the kind of person who always sits somewhere you can see the door and knows where all the exits are, this is the team for you.
Specialized Teams
-
Alpha is a fun dinner and group conversation series centered around exploring the big questions of life, spirituality, and faith from a Christian lens in a laid-back and non-judgmental environment. If you're a good listener, love to make others feel welcome through conversation and food, and can facilitate conversation, this is the team for you.
*There is a team application required when applying for the Alpha Team. Apply here.
-
Coffee has become one of the main hospitality practices in the U.S., therefore, we’re always looking for volunteers who love to make (and drink) coffee to set up our coffee table in the lobby each Sunday.
-
Following Jesus through your tween and teenage years can be challenging and confusing. That’s why our student ministry teams make it easy for ordinary students to meet Jesus and learn to live everyday life like Jesus. If you want to make a lifelong impact on the students in our community, this is the team for you.
*We will help you complete a required background check.
-
People have been worshiping in our building for over a hundred years and we’d love to see people worship in it for a hundred more. That’s why our property team is responsible for maintaining and improving our property (inside and outside). If you love to fix things, build things, or weed things, this is the team for you.
-
We want the church to be the first place that people go for care when they're in a time of crisis rather than the last place. That's why we need people who can be on-call to give a ride, provide a meal, or run an errand for people who need it. If you love to drop everything and do what you can to help someone in need, this is the team for you.
-
Prayer is at the heart of everything we do. That's why we're in the process of building a new team of volunteers who can be available to pray with people on Sundays and beyond. If you want to create room for the Holy Spirit to show up in the lives of ordinary people, this is the team for you.
-
Every church has a responsibility to steward both financial and human resources in order to fulfill its mission. If you're the kind of person who loves to do math, has a knack for human resources, or loves a good legal question, this is the team for you.
